This years LIONS Race will have all the Grudge Racing that Eagle field is known for PLUS 2 "Heads-Up" Door Slammer categories and with the Runway having the traction of a parking lot it will be anybodies race.

Just 46 days to go and the event is coming together! I spoke with Faith Granger and we will be showing the "Deuce of Spades" movie in the hanger Friday and Saturday nights. She will be on hand with the "Duece" and the movie display to answer all your questions and have autographed DVD's available. Race ticket holders get to watch the movie for $5 and if ya want to see just the movie that's OK, we'll have special parking for movie goers who come out Friday or Saturday night with ticket prices $10 a person at the Hanger door! www.deuceofspadesmovie.com/ Bell Air Motorsports has done an awesome job with the event artwork and heres the final look of the sign.............. Any idea if you are going to have the "Gasser Alley" cars run together? That's the plan, we'll have a Gasser Lane on the Gasser Pit side of the staging lanes. However Gassers can run with the Door Slammers if they like. |

we are putting a fresh corvette 4bolt 327 in the modelA along with a mike transmission monster 350th.....last year there was no 2nd gear underload
the 5.38 olds w/summers spool&axles should find the1/8 mile just like street racing again........vince's falcon green slime is ready too

We're 18 days from opening the gate to our BIGGEST weekend of Drag Racing yet on the Historic Eagle Field Runway. The volunteers have been busy getting the 'Field ready , concrete is planned for our Sunday participants to do Water Burnouts on, and the Hanger will be cleaned & ready for moviemaker Faith Grainger, her famous "Deuce" and Award winning "Deuce of Spades" movie to be shown Friday and Saturday Night at 7:30PM.
The Saturday May 19th Fresno Dragways Reunion will offer all the pre-74 sights and sounds our Fans have come to love including our athletic Flag Starters. Many of your favorites will return Saturday among them are our Special Guest Ray Silva, Stormy Byrd's "Revelation" Modified Roadster match racing Randy Winkle's "El Greengo" Modified Coupe, Local Favorite Elmer Snyder, a large field of Gassers, Local & "Out of Town" Racers and Much Much MORE!
Sunday May 20th will be a bit more contemporary with a "Christmas Tree" in place for the LIONS Race which will offer all racers timed performances on the tricky runway with the traction of a parking lot. The surface makes for a great equalizer in our Two Heads-Up Doorslammer categories, offering close racing. Many are planning to stay for Sundays show so plenty of good old fashion grudge racing will round out Sundays action.

I've talked to a Film Guy and it looks like we should have a DVD.............still a good idea of putting out a request. "O" and John the Gassers are 'sposed to be coming and you all will be pitted together with your own lane with runtimes starting at the top of the hour.

I'll be shooting video and pics all weekend. Planning on doing interviews with some of the racers as they become available. Gonna be a great weekend.
